Don’t laugh at me. But I’ve got so happy recently. Why? Because the one bit that I like about going to the dentist – the bit where the hygenist puts the paste on your teeth and they seem to be miraculously cleansed, toned and moisturised, in a really deep, instensive way – well, it’s come to me as a toothpaste to review. I know, you’re laughing at me testing a toothpaste – but I am very keen on my toothpaste, and work hard to have the boys do a good job with their teeth, so when the opportunity came to me, to review it, I bet I was one of the first to ask Mumsnet if I could write about it.
The funny thing about this is that I’m currently onsite at the Toy Fair in London for Fundamentally Children and I’ve just been stood in the pub, telling everyone that I met, as I worked from one side to the other, that I needed to leave because I had to get back and write about Oral B’s Pro Toothpaste on my blog!
I like it not just because it feels like the paste from the hygenist, but because it’s blue – and reminds me of a toothpaste I loved as a child that’s no longer available. I like the feeling that it gives me after I’ve used it and I like the texture – not just the bits that really feel like they are deep cleaning. But the fact that it’s quite a firm paste. It’s not overly wet and sloppy and dissolving in my mouth quickly – I really do work it around my mouth. It’s good stuff. I know that you’re reading this and expecting me to go down the route of making lots of innuendo and rudey comments about it. But my brain won’t take me there right now. I’m sure I’ll write a ps about it at some point. But for now, I want to recommend it to you – as a way to start your day feeling virtuous and “clean”. And at the end of the day, it’s another layer of cleansing, cleaning and stripping off, so that you go to bed, ready to have a good old snog and snuggle with whoever you share your bed with!
