So, yes, this is a wigwam. And this blog post is a review of a wigwam. It’s dominating our back lounge. It makes our boys incredibly happy. We were given the chance to pick something to review and I dithered between the wigwam and the croquet set. The latter is what I really wanted, because I had a vision of us playing a lovely game of it together, in sunny weather. But realistically, weather in the UK is rubbish and the boys may have wounded each other with it. So wigwam it was. And I have to say, I’m pleased I did.
With my reviewers hat on, I’m happy because it’s well made and big enough for the boys to play in. It’s got “good wood” for the sticks that is going to withstand the rough and tumble the boys will inflict on it. Lovely bloke said it was easy to put together and that the instructions made sense. It costs £54 and would be a good birthday and Christmas present. I am actually looking at it in the more neutral colours for a friend as our present to their daughters for their next birthday and Christmas present combined – we’d normally spend £20 on each, so I reckon it’s good to get something that’s really cool instead of going for the usual clothes that I buy!!
Anyway. The boys like it. They have spent some quality time demanding that daddy procures a torch for them to read books in it, in the dark. And E had talked about it to his friends at school so some of them had to come over tonight to check it out.
So in terms of a review, I rate this. It’s already giving hours of entertainment indoors and will be great outdoors this weekend – we will see how quickly it dries when it’s been exposed to the elements. And the dog. ….
