I kind of can’t believe what I’ve just done. I’ve just sold my Orla Kiely laptop bag, shoulder bag and purse. My beautiful, beautiful, much loved and worked for bags. I’ve sold them to someone who will love them as much as I have though, so I’m pleased to know that they are going to a good home. I’m replacing them with a rucksack that’s geared to my mac kit – I’m spending much more time in London at the moment and want to have something that’s just the one bag, and is good for carrying everything in it, in the one bag. I have worried about people snatching my laptop bag and feel more confident with a rucksack on the one shoulder.
So that’s that. I just thought it was something I should put on my blog, to put a marker in the sand. It feels kind of like the day I sold my Sex In the City videos and DVDs. The end of an era. God I hope I don’t regret it! They’ll be worth a fortune in the future, but I can’t hold on to them for the future – life’s too short to live like that, isn’t it?
