So tomorrow, is 1 June 2013. And I’m doing something special. I’m having some time out all for myself. I’m going to CamYoga who I’ve worked with on a range of projects. But I’m going as a participant for a day of Mindfulness. Here’s the blurb – “with everything going on it can be so easy for the mantra to be ‘I am so stressed’ or ‘I am so Busy’. This day retreat will include yoga asana, pranayama and meditation that will help with creating awareness of what is happening, reducing stress and increasing the joy of being in the moment.”
Here’s the timetable:
10.00 – 11.00 Breathing Space Meditation and Yoga Practice
11.15 – 13.00 What is mindfulness? Benefits of mindfulness, mindfulness-based stress reduction research. What does it mean in my life? How does it work?
13.00 – 13.45 Lunch
14.00-15.00 Interrupting the automatic pilot
15.15 – 16.15 Yoga Practice and Body Scan Meditation
16.15-16.30 Taking Mindfulness into our daily lives
It’s a big thing for me to – because everyone else who is going will no doubt be experienced in yoga and regular in their practise. I’m more dip in and out! But one of my BFF is going – Dr AKT, but she’s very experienced in Yoga, so I’m sure I’ll be fine.
Anyway, I wanted to share why I am going. Because I’m tired. I’m feeling pretty run down and grotty. Because I want to get off the merry go round, just for a while. And I think this might be the perfect way to do it. I’ll report back tomorrow, when I’m feeling all mindful and hopefully, relaxed….
