Tick, tock, tick, tock. I can’t keep up. Where on earth has the summer and particularly, the last few weeks of it gone? I’ve got so many blog posts in my head that just have not made it onto here. And even worse, there’s a lot of them in my notes – on phones, ipads and laptops, so they really should see the light of day.
And true to form, I’ve now got lots that I want to blog about. So I will. Starting with a change that’s happening for our family, as of this week that’s just gone. Lovely Bloke has returned to the world of being a ‘regular worker’ – ie – working for someone else. It’s a strange thing. We’d talked about it for a long time. He wanted to work more, but was worried about not seeing the boys as much and that he would miss them terribly. He also doesn’t trust in my abilities to do a lunchbox like he does, and to ensure that everyone is at their play dates, swimming, gym club and beavers on time each week. Needless to say, neither did I, but I’m a fast learner.
And lo and behold, after a little while, the perfect job came along – near home, and structured in such a way that one week he can do the school run in the morning, and the next week, in the afternoons. It’s going to mean a lot of flexing for all of us and I’m still working full time so it’s going to mean applying myself at home like I do at work… Lord help us all – there’ll be schedules and deadlines 24/7….
So if you’ve got any tips, advice or input on how we can be ultra efficient domestically, whilst still having a home life together, please leave a comment below. Anything and everything is gratefully appreciated!
