The dust returns. Our floor bloke came and started on the craters in the floor this week and put down a sealant to help us with the dust. For 48 hours we could breathe easily. And then today, Le Husband has started with a project – making us a dining table and benches. And I’ve never seen dust like it. Sheesh.
I’m keeping quiet about this though. If the dust and 200 of wood and 200 of steels can give us the big table that we want to have, then we’re up for it. The ones we like are at least 2.5K. The banquette seating we like is 2.7K.
Would you like to see snapshots of the work so far? I’ve put lots of photos in a public album over on Fakebook…

I feel as though the window and doors has really been a big leap forward. I have been naffed off for a few weeks now – we got the doors from Kloeber. The salesperson who we spoke with took our deposit and forgot to put the order in, before going on holiday. This added an unhelpful delay to a six week wait for the doors. And they’ve not offered anything by way of apology. I’ll come back and tell you if the doors and window hold up to our usage. At 7K it’s a spendy spend, so they’d better be.
Right. off a bath and to watch more West Wing. As the world spins around me, I’m clinging to rewatching Josh, Toby and President Barlett, organised and chaperoned by Big Bird herself, Claudia Jean.
